Nature & Technology is a semi-permanent collaborative audio installation experience allowing visitors to explore the intersection of the natural world and the emergence of man-made technology through the use of immersive audio.

The installation can be experienced in two different ways. Visitors can traverse a physical 3-dimensional space in Berlin, Germany (much like an art gallery or a museum) and hear the sounds of the natural world contrasted with the sounds of technology in real time. Alternatively, one can access the installation experience and hear the audio via The Creative Personality website. Between January 1st and April 30th you can listen to the full audio experience online here.

Interested collaborators can contribute original audio to be blended with the installation's lush background audio; a rich immersive soundscape depicting a 24-hour cycle of nature from dawn to dusk and beyond. Hear an excerpt from the Nature & Technology themed background here.

Participants are invited to contribute their original audio creations: everything from field recordings to the mechanized whirr of machinery to the sounds of twenty first century technology to spoken word narration to noise. The sky's the limit!

Science & Religion represent seemingly incompatible aspects of human experience. Science relies on empirical evidence drawn from an examination of the natural world and the unexplored cosmo beyond. In contrast, Religion and matters of personal and communal faith are meaning-making constructs which have underpinned society and culture for millennia.

Science & Religion is a semi-permanent collaborative audio installation experience allowing visitors to investigate the complimentary and incompatible aspects of empirical evidence and belief-based systems of knowing through the use of immersive audio.

The installation can be experienced in two distinctly different ways. Visitors can traverse a physical 3-dimensional space in Chicago, Illinois (much like an art gallery or a museum) and hear sounds reminiscent of the realm of science contrasted with the sounds of faith traditions from all over the world in real time. Alternatively, one can access the installation experience and hear the audio via The Creative Personality website. Between May 1st and August 31st you can listen to the full audio experience online here.

Situated in a contemporary world beset with the looming perils of climate change and all it’s attendant insecurities, Fathering The Unthinkable is a semi-permanent collaborative audio installation experience allowing visitors to investigate the possibility that the nuclear arms race which commenced in the 1940’s and the present-day plundering of the natural environment are the direct consequences of unbridled masculine ambition; a story poignantly prophesied in English author Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.

The installation can be experienced in two different ways. Visitors can traverse a physical 3-dimensional space in New York City, New York (much like an art gallery or a museum) in order to hear sounds associated with the installation’s conceptual theme. Those sounds constitute a background over which the contrasting sounds of participant audio submissions can be heard in real time.
